It's the start of a new month and I've noticed a change in my perspective.
I started the day with a run with my dog – which helped,
He hasn’t destroyed anything yet – which always helps,
And the sun is up – which usually help us all.
But other than that, what is really different from yesterday?
The answer for me is I've quite literally wiped the slate clean (well, whiteboard), and reestablished my goals.
Rather than pursuing old targets I’ve starting afresh, proactively determining what I want to do in the month ahead.
It’s strange how easy it is to forget that the goals we set are there to serve us, not the other way round.
It’s also strange how effective it is to wipe the slate clean and start again,
And perhaps stranger still how little we do it when we know the power it brings.
Why wait to for a major milestone to make a change? Why even wait a month?
Find a moment to pause and reassess.
Ask yourself these 3 questions:
1. Is there anything you're working towards right now that you no longer want?
2. Is there anything you're putting energy into right now that you no longer need?
3. If you could wipe the slate clean and start from now, what would you do?
